A classic beef cheeseburger recipe that is juicy, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 brioche buns, halved & toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter (for buns)
  • 1 tbsp mustard or burger sauce (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook chopped onions 10–15 min until golden. Set aside.
  2. Shape beef into 4 patties, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grill or sear 3–4 min per side. In the last minute, melt cheddar on top.
  4. Toast buns in butter until golden.
  5. Assemble burgers: bun base, patty, onions, toppings, sauce, bun top. Serve hot!

Notes

  • Press patties gently for juicy texture.
  • Let meat rest for 2 min before serving.
  • Use cast iron for the perfect sear.
