Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is a cozy and delicious treat that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with a delightful cinnamon swirl, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ⅓ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for swirl)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (optional glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk or cream (optional glaze)
  • Splash of vanilla extract (optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Mash bananas until smooth in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter.
  2. Mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add baking soda, salt, and flour, mixing just until combined.
  4. In a greased loaf pan, pour in half the batter, sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar mix, and swirl with a knife. Repeat.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool and drizzle with glaze if desired.

  • Ensure bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of cinnamon in the swirl mixture to taste.
