Cinnamon Apple Bread is a cozy, sweet dessert loaf filled with diced apples and warm spices, perfect for fall baking.

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cups peeled and diced apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • Optional: simple glaze (1 cup powdered sugar + 1-2 tbsp milk)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and sour cream.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Fold into the wet mix until just combined.
  5. Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan, layer with half the apples, repeat. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–60 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

  • Drizzle with glaze once cooled for added sweetness.
  • Use Honeycrisp or Granny Smith apples for the best flavor.
