Indulge in these divine Chocolate Toffee Tartlets that are silky, glossy, and crunchy!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup coconut cream or heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed toffee bits or caramelized nuts
  • 1 tbsp plant butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Pulse flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter until crumbly. Add egg yolk + water. Press into tartlet pans, chill 30 minutes.
  2. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 15–18 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  3. Heat cream until steaming. Pour over chopped chocolate. Sit 2 minutes then stir smooth. Add honey + vanilla.
  4. Pour ganache into cooled shells.
  5. Melt plant butter with toffee bits until glossy. Sprinkle over tartlets.
  6. Chill 1–2 hours until fully set.

Notes

  • Add a swirl of whipped coconut cream for serving.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt for contrast.
  • Serve chilled for clean cuts.
  • Use almond flour for a nutty gluten-free crust.
  • Make vegan using dairy-free chocolate + butter.
  • Add chopped figs or dates to replace toffee with natural sweetness.
