Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffins are rich, fluffy, and the ultimate indulgent dessert for chocolate lovers.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk sugar, yogurt, milk, oil, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Gradually mix wet into dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Spoon batter into muffin liners (about 3/4 full), then drop 1 tsp peanut butter on top and swirl it into the batter with a toothpick.
  5. Top with extra chocolate chips and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 16–18 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • Store muffins in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • These muffins can be frozen for up to 2 months.
