- 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
- 1 (12 oz) jar caramel sauce (or dulce de leche)
- 1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
- Nonstick spray or butter for greasing pan
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour dry chocolate cake mix evenly into the dish.
- Pour caramel sauce evenly over the cake mix.
- Whisk chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until slightly thickened, then pour over the caramel layer.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top, then drizzle melted butter all over.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until bubbly and gooey in the center.
Notes
