- 1/2 small onion, grated
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Optional: chopped mint or dill
- Mix ground chicken, onion, garlic, herbs, and spices in a bowl
- Shape the mixture into small oblong patties
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook koftas for 4-5 minutes per side
- Combine yogurt, garlic, olive oil, and salt for the sauce
- Serve koftas on a bed of garlic yogurt with fresh herbs
