- 1 box brownie mix (or your favorite homemade recipe)
- Ingredients listed on the brownie mix box (usually eggs, oil, water)
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling (or fresh cherries if in season)
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9” baking pan.
- Prepare brownie batter according to the package instructions. Pour 2/3 of it into the prepared pan.
- In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over the brownie layer.
- Dollop cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer. Spoon the remaining brownie batter in dollops over top. Swirl lightly.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the center is set and edges pull away. Cool completely before slicing.
