A delightful baked chicken dish featuring juicy chicken thighs or breasts enveloped in a rich, cheesy garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high and sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to baking dish.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds).
  5. Stir in chicken broth and cream. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley. Stir until melted and smooth.
  7. Pour sauce over chicken and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and cooked through.
  8. Broil 2–3 minutes at the end for a perfectly golden top.
  9. Garnish with extra parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Thighs stay extra juicy, but breasts work beautifully too.
  • Let the dish rest 5 minutes before serving to thicken the sauce.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for a cozy twist.
