A delicious fusion of cheeseburger and grilled cheese, perfect for a quick and comforting dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices white sandwich bread (thick cut preferred)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for grilling)
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • Optional: mayo, ketchup, or burger sauce for spreading

Instructions

  1. Cook the burger meat in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Drain excess fat.
  2. Layer cheddar cheese, cooked ground beef, tomato, lettuce, and more cheese on a slice of bread.
  3. Butter the outside of each bread slice and grill in a skillet until golden and crisp.
  4. Flip and press with a spatula to melt the cheese evenly.
  5. Remove from skillet, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bread for better texture.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Add your favorite burger sauces for extra flavor.
