A simple summer dessert with caramelized peaches served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup granola or crushed shortbread cookies
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Slice peaches in half and remove pits. Pat dry.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place peaches cut-side down and sprinkle finished dessert.
