Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 3/4 cup pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar until smooth.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir just until combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 28–32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let brownies cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Drizzle warm caramel sauce generously over the surface.
  9. Top with pecan halves and extra chocolate chips.
  10. Allow to set for 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Don’t overbake! Fudge brownies should stay soft inside.
  • Toast the pecans first for extra crunch and aroma.
  • Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
