Ingredients
Scale
2 apples (any crisp variety – like Honeycrisp or Fuji), chopped into cubes
30 mini pretzels
15 soft caramel candies (or ~½ cup melted caramel sauce)
15 wooden toothpicks or mini skewers
Optional: melted chocolate for drizzle
Lemon juice (to prevent apples from browning)
1 tbsp water (for melting caramel)
Instructions
Cut apples into bite-sized cubes and toss with a splash of lemon juice to prevent browning.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramel candies with 1 tbsp water in 30-second intervals until smooth, stirring between each interval.
Layer a mini pretzel, an apple cube, and top with another pretzel. Drizzle with melted caramel or dip the top pretzel before assembling.
Insert a toothpick or mini skewer through the center to hold the stack together. Allow the caramel to cool and set.
Optional: Drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle with sea salt for added flavor and presentation.
Notes
Use lemon juice to keep apples from browning if preparing in advance.
Choose crisp apple varieties like Honeycrisp or Fuji for best texture.
Allow caramel to cool completely so bites hold together firmly.
Great for kids’ parties or fall-themed snack platters.
