- 1 lb large sea scallops (patted dry)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- Extra Cajun seasoning for garnish
- Pat the scallops dry and season both sides with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2 minutes per side until golden.
- Remove scallops and lower heat. Add garlic to the pan and sauté briefly, then pour in heavy cream.
- Stir in Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Add lemon juice and adjust seasoning. Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Return scallops to the pan or spoon sauce over them. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
