Butterscotch Golden Cinnamon Glazed Apple Fritter Bites are light, fluffy, and crunchy mini apple fritters coated in a delicious butterscotch glaze.

Ingredients

  • 125 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g peeled, finely chopped apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji)
  • 120 g brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 80 ml milk
  • ½ tsp cinnamon + extra for coating
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 60 g powdered sugar (for glaze and dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and 1 tbsp sugar until smooth. Combine both mixtures and fold in chopped apples.
  2. Heat oil (175 °C) and fry spoonfuls of batter for 2–3 min per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Roll warm fritters in cinnamon sugar.
  4. For glaze: simmer brown sugar, butter, and 60 ml milk for 1 min. Remove from heat, whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Drizzle glaze over fritters and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use firm apples to keep bites juicy yet crisp.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg for cozy spice.
  • Bake in mini muffin tin (190 °C / 18 min) for a lighter version.
