Ingredients

125 g all-purpose flour
200 g peeled, finely chopped apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji)
120 g brown sugar (for glaze)
2 tbsp butter
1 egg
80 ml milk
½ tsp cinnamon + extra for coating
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
Vegetable oil for frying
60 g powdered sugar (for glaze and dusting)
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and 1 tbsp sugar until smooth. Combine both mixtures and fold in chopped apples.
Heat oil (175 °C) and fry spoonfuls of batter for 2–3 min per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
Roll warm fritters in cinnamon sugar.
For glaze: simmer brown sugar, butter, and 60 ml milk for 1 min. Remove from heat, whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle glaze over fritters and serve warm.
Notes
Use firm apples to keep bites juicy yet crisp.
Add a pinch of nutmeg for cozy spice.
Bake in mini muffin tin (190 °C / 18 min) for a lighter version.
