A quick and easy recipe for classic buttered lobster rolls, featuring juicy lobster meat, buttery toasted buns, and a touch of lemon and garlic. Perfect for a luxurious summer seafood sandwich in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat (claw, knuckle & tail), roughly chopped
  • 4 top-split New England-style hot dog buns
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & cracked black pepper to taste
  • Optional: dash of Old Bay or paprika for garnish
  • Fresh chopped chives or parsley (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over low heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add the lobster meat, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to coat and heat through.
  2. Brush the buns with the remaining 1 tbsp of melted butter. Toast them in a skillet until golden brown.
  3. Fill each toasted bun generously with the warm lobster mixture.
  4. Garnish with a pinch of Old Bay, paprika, or fresh herbs like chives or parsley.
  5. Serve warm with chips, pickles, or coleslaw on the side.

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked lobster for best flavor, but high-quality pre-cooked lobster meat works well too.
  • New England-style top-split buns hold the filling better and toast more evenly.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce for a spicy kick.
