Festive puff pastry trees with creamy burrata and cranberry glaze, perfect as a holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 ball of burrata cheese (8 oz), torn into chunks
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce or cranberry glaze
  • 1 tbsp honey (for drizzling)
  • 1/4 cup roasted pistachios, finely chopped
  • 4 sprigs of rosemary (for garnish)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting the surface)

Instructions

  1. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into star or round shapes in different sizes. Stack from largest to smallest to form a tree shape.
  2. Brush each pastry layer with egg wash and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  3. Once cooled slightly, gently split the layers and spoon burrata in between.
  4. Drizzle cranberry sauce over the top of the trees, letting it drip down.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pistachios and add a rosemary sprig on top of each tree. Finish with a drizzle of honey.

Notes

  • Use chilled puff pastry for easier handling.
  • Adjust cranberry glaze thickness by adding a splash of water if needed.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture.
