  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks or chips
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and nutty smelling.
  2. Mix brown butter with brown sugar, flour, salt, and vanilla until crumbly. Press into a lined 9×13 pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
  3. Pour condensed milk evenly over the crust and sprinkle with toffee bits.
  4. Scatter semi-sweet chips and white chocolate chunks over the top. Bake another 10–12 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  5. Let bars cool before drizzling extra melted chocolate and adding flaky sea salt.

Notes

  • Optional flaky sea salt enhances the sweet-salty flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
