Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter (for rich brown butter flavor)
¾ cup brown sugar
¼ cup honey (sweet, sticky goodness)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
¾ cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped (for that nutty dessert vibe)
¼ cup white chocolate chips (optional but dreamy)
Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
Brown the Butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and cook until it turns golden brown with a nutty aroma. Let it cool slightly.
Mix the Wet Ingredients: Whisk brown sugar and honey into the warm browned butter until glossy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
Add the Dry Ingredients: Stir in flour, salt, and baking powder just until combined. Fold in chopped pistachios and white chocolate chips.
Bake to Perfection: Spread the batter evenly into a lined 8×8-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes, until golden on top but still slightly soft in the center.
Finish & Slice: While warm, sprinkle with flaky sea salt and extra pistachios. Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
For best results, let the bars cool completely before slicing.
