  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing or mayo drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet over medium heat. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread cooked beef in a baking dish. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing.
  3. Layer frozen tater tots evenly over the beef.
  4. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30–35 minutes until tots are golden brown. Top with shredded cheddar cheese in the last 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with pickles, lettuce, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of ranch or more dressing.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake the tater tots for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Customize toppings to your preference.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
