1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
1/4 cup shredded lettuce (optional)
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
1/4 cup ranch dressing or mayo drizzle (optional)
Instructions
Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet over medium heat. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Spread cooked beef in a baking dish. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing.
Layer frozen tater tots evenly over the beef.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30–35 minutes until tots are golden brown. Top with shredded cheddar cheese in the last 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with pickles, lettuce, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of ranch or more dressing.
Notes
For extra crispiness, bake the tater tots for an additional 5 minutes.
