Creamy, cheesy, golden and outrageously comforting baked chicken alfredo ziti.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz ziti or penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  4. Gradually pour in milk and cream, whisking constantly. Simmer until thickened, about 4–5 minutes.
  5. Stir in parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  6. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Mix well.
  7. Pour into baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Grate your own mozzarella for best melt.
  • Let sit 5–10 minutes after baking before serving for perfect slices.
