- 225 g unsalted butter, melted
- 100 g brown sugar, packed
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 5 ml vanilla extract
- 3 g salt
- 310 g all-purpose flour
- 3 g ground cinnamon
- 500 g peeled sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 70 g granulated sugar
- 50 g brown sugar
- 8 g cornstarch
- 3 g ground cinnamon
- 1 g ground nutmeg
- 15 ml lemon juice
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a 23×33 cm pan with parchment paper.
- Mix melted butter, sugars, vanilla, and salt. Stir in flour and cinnamon. Press 2/3 into pan; bake for 10 minutes.
- Toss apples with sugars, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread over crust.
- Sprinkle remaining crumble on top. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Cool fully before slicing into bars.

- Use tart apples for best flavor
- Add a drizzle of caramel for extra indulgence
