Crispy, golden, and bursting with cinnamon-apple goodness, these Apple Cinnamon Churro Bites are a delightful treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cream

Instructions

  1. Make the apple filling: Cook diced apples with water, sugar, and cinnamon until soft. Mash into purée and cool.
  2. Make the churro dough: Boil water, sugar, salt, and oil. Stir in flour until a smooth dough forms. Cool slightly and fill a piping bag.
  3. Shape and fry: Pipe small pieces of dough, fill with a dab of apple purée, and seal. Fry at 175°C (350°F) until golden and crisp.
  4. Coat in cinnamon sugar: Roll warm churros in cinnamon-sugar mix.
  5. Make the chocolate sauce: Melt chocolate chips and cream together until smooth. Serve warm with churros.

Notes

  • Air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 8–10 mins for a lighter version.
  • Add caramel drizzle for extra indulgence.
  • Use gluten-free flour if desired.
