Description

Welcome to the world of gourmet cooking! Here, you can make your meals special with a touch of luxury. Today, we’ll show you how to make the perfect Pan-Seared Scallops with Lemon Butter Sauce. This dish is not just elegant, but it will also wow your family and friends at any dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped (for garnish))
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Scallops:

  1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2️⃣ Sear the Scallops:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add scallops to the skillet in a single layer (do not overcrowd). Sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove scallops from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Lemon Butter Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.

4️⃣ Combine:

  1. Return the scallops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let them warm through for 1-2 minutes.

5️⃣ Garnish and Serve:

  1. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges. Pair with rice, pasta, or a fresh green salad.
